A dynamic ENS4Care General Assembly
Just the day before the publication of the Green Paper on mHealth, an important General Assembly of ENS4Care took place on the 9th April 2014 gathering all partners.
Representatives from nurses, social workers, patients, doctors, citizens, women, students and industry met to discuss and exchange views on the submitted 120 eHealth practices, based on the agreed conceptual and evaluation models, guiding the partners into the selection of these practices and the development of the future EU guidelines for nurses and social workers.
Presentation of the practices collected
In less than two month, more than 120 practices on eHealth in prevention, clinical practice, advanced roles, integrated care and nurse ePrescribing have been collected throughout the EU and Europe. Amazing. Almost none of them have been using EU funds and most of them have been implemented into the field.
Patient empowerment and cost-effectiveness have been key criteria for selection which, under the leadership of Marina Lupari, winner of the RCN FrontLivne First Campaign, provided the scientific robustness of our actions. Thanks Marina for your support and commitment! Furthermore, the WP leaders had the honour and privilege to provide to the partners an overview for each area, highlighting major trends and doing a joint initial analysis.
All partners acknowledged the richness of the database next to the opportunity for the partners to develop guidelines based on what works in the field, being used in daily practice of nurses and social workers, making use of eHealth solutions.
Once step closer to the design of EU guidelines!
Now it is time for the partners to select the most suitable practices that will be up-scaled towards a European consensus and that will be further used for the elaboration of the EU guidelines.
This process started during the GA in Brussels during the break-out sessions under the leadership of the different WP Leaders: Pat, Tine, Marianne, Dorota and Elizabeth.
Based on the decision taken by the consortium, the WP Leaders will start to elaborate the first draft of the EU guidelines that will be presented in Dublin at the next General Assembly.
18-20 August 2014: 8th ICN INP/APNN Conference, Helsinki
22 October 2014: ENS4Care General Assembly, Dublin
15 April 2015: ENS4Care General Assembly, Brussels
The start of the ENS4Care documentary!
It is said “student are our future”, and they are. Although ENSA is not a partner of ENS4Care, two Greek nurse students, Lef and Thanos, are supporting and collaborating with ENS4Care, especially in the dissemination process. After recording the first video at theENS4Care kick-off meeting in Warsaw, they have produced a second one of the ENS4Care General Assembly and did some interviews to the partners. All this material will be assembled to develop a final documentary on the ENS4Care project.
